Travis Smith

Hello, my name is Travis Smith!

I am beginning to pick up on writing about all sports yet again. I am 24 years old and I am trying to get my foot into the door of sports writing and broadcasting. I love all sports it seems from football to basketball to hockey to pro wrestling to NASCAR. I am a guy that just feels that sports is the perfect way to get away from all of the stresses that life seems to bring.

I grew up in Woodstock, Virginia and I graduated from Central High School in 2008 with my advanced diploma. I ve had experience writing as I've written for Bleacher Report and Shepherd University The Picket newspaper.

When it comes to speaking, I have debated and I have hosted my own sports talk radio show for two years dubbed "The Sports Hut". I directed and created a program that would allow me to speak about sports and display my speaking skills.

I have one younger sister and an amazing family as I was raised on the belief that people may come and go but true friends and family stay with you forever no matter what.

I am looking to go into sports broadcasting and writing after college as I know that I have the skills needed to be one of the best in the industry.
