By Farhan Daw: QPR manager Harry Redknapp has slammed the English Football Association claiming the hierarchies ”haven’t got a clue” and couldnt ”show him a new manager if his life depended on it”. The 66 year old revealed to the Daily Mail the future of English football is in the wrong hands and questions the FA’s decision to overlook him.
Redknapp was firm favourite to take over the then vacated England International job after the sacking of Fabio Capello and claims he and insists his recent statement is not due to sour grapes. It is said Redknapp was so sure of his appointment, he had already contacted Brendan Rogers to be his assistant at the Euro 2012. Nevertheless, the FA approached and appointed Roy Hogson, then of West Brom to take over as manager.
“This isn’t about them giving the England job to me or Roy Hodgson, but English football being run by people who really haven’t got a clue. And they get to pick the England manager!”
