United have a 15-point lead over City and a win could effectively hand the title to United, with only seven games left of the season Rooney is taking nothing for granted, especially as City snatched the title away from United last season, which went down to the final game.

With United’s biggest game of the season and for the manager to change his team around and not include Rooney, the striker might believe that manager does not have as much faith in him as he thought.
