Lexington, KY– After a 32-point pounding of fifth ranked Kansas, the Kentucky...
Shaq has said on TNT that he asked for the trade to Miami when the Lakers refused to extend his contract. He wanted to be the highest paid player in the league and they wanted to put their future more in Kobe's hands. I think that situation was mutual. In 2007, Kobe demanded a trade from the Lakers unless they brought in some talent. That's when they made the move for Pau Gasol. So he has asked management to get him talent to play with. Either way, this is 2014. Neither argument should matter. Kobe is old and soon he will be done. Hopefully this is the start of a long drought for the Lakers.
Kentucky looked real nice last night. Their offense was a little frenetic but they made it work. Their defense was top notch. That game said more about Kentucky's potential than it did about Kansas. They need a little time to gel before they hit top gear. Most teams do. Let's take a look at them after 10 games or so.
Chris Kirby, I'll do a story on my take on Kentucky and post it. Thanks for the story idea, would love your commentary.
I'm interested to hear what you have to say after Kentucky's 32-point win over Kansas last night.
