Estrada vs Chocolatito Undercard: Two World Title Fights Added to Brilliant Card

Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing have today announced two amazing, huge additions to the Estrada vs Chocolatito undercard. The Estrada Chocolatito Card on March 13 on DAZN is now a world title tripleheader with these two world championship editions.

On the Estrada vs Chocolatito undercard, we will see the rematch of the undisputed female welterweight title fight between Jessica McCaskill and Cecilia Braekhus as chief support. Additionally, we see new Matchroom signing Hiroto Kyoguchi defend his WBA Light-Flyweight Title against Axel Aragon Vega on his US Debut.

Furthermore, Matchroom Boxing has also announced a location for the much-anticipated pound-for-pound clash. The fight will take place at the American Airlines Centre, Dallas, Texas which was home to Garcia-Campbell and had 6,000 fans on that occasion. Eddie Hearn will hope to have around 11,000 fans in attendance for this super-fight especially with the stacked Estrada vs Chocolatito undercard.

McCaskill vs Braekhus 2: Rematch For Undisputed Welterweight Titles; Chief Support

Jessica McCaskill upset all the odds on August 15 when she dethroned long-reigning champion and 36-0 Cecilia Braekhus and took her undisputed titles and her P4P Top 5 Position as a result. Braekhus was initially not going to go into an immediate rematch and was considering retirement but she has now decided that she wants to avenge her sole defeat in her decade-plus Professional Boxing career.

McCaskill was not given much of a chance at all even though she was the unified super-lightweight champion and extended Katie Taylor 10 tough rounds. Braekhus was at the pinnacle of her weight division and arguably female boxing. She has helped raise women’s sport to a completely new level becoming the first female to headline a televised card in the US.

McCaskill vs Braekhus 2 will feature on another big card as the chief support and is further evidence of the rising popularity of Women’s Boxing as it has a men’s world title fight below it on the undercard. Braekhus is 39 years old and will likely retire if she cannot avenge her defeat on March 13 as she isn’t the same fighter she once was.

However, a win for her will keep some massive fights available for her including the Katie Taylor showdown, Chantelle Cameron, Claressa Shields at 154 etc. Similar opponents would be there for McCaskill who is prioritising a rematch with P4P #1 Katie Taylor should she repeat her massive upset on the Estrada vs Chocolatito undercard.

Also on the Estrada vs Chocolatito undercard, New Matchroom Signing and undefeated Japanese Light-flyweight World Champion Hiroto Kyoguchi (14-0) makes his US and Matchroom debut against Axel Aragon Vega (14-3). Two-Weight world champion Kyoguchi will defend his WBA Title in a fairly straightforward defence before eyeing unification fights later in the year.

Kyoguchi won the International Boxing Federation World Minimum Title in just his 8th fight and made two defences before moving up to Light-Flyweight and winning the WBA (Super) title. The Mexican Vega has three defeats to his name. One came early in his career and the other 2 in his last 6 fights against Wilfredo Mendez twice.

Vega is world title challenger but is considered well below the level of Kyoguchi and this is seen as a simple defence that is often given when signing to a new major promotional company such as Matchroom. Kyoguchi is considered as number one at the weight and would like the opportunity to prove himself as such.

A win here on the Estrada vs Chocolatito undercard would keep him on track to land a big unification fight later in 2021 either against fellow Japanese Fighter Kenshiro Teraji (17-0), Felix Alvarado who recently won on the Garcia vs Campbell Undercard or Golden Boy’s Elwin Soto.
