As special effects wizardry becomes more and more sophisticated it has become easier to interpolate one moving image on top of another – as this amazing piece of footage shows.
The idea was to take goal celebrations, those sedate moments of quiet reflection, and turn them in to something a little more visually exciting. Fortunately for us, sedate and reflection are not words which jump in to the minds of your average professional footballer when they score.
So, prepare to see fireworks, stormtroopers from Star Wars and the occasional dinosaur invade the pitch – and enjoy!
