Jack May’s Lottery NBA Mock Draft 1.0

Jack May Lottery

1.Philadelphia 76ers: Ben Simmons SF LSU

The 76ers are overall just not performing well, they have only won 8 games while losing 55. Its obvious to say that they need a lot of help and Ben Simmons is the guy, averaging 19 points and 11 rebounds a game Ben Simmons will really improve this team

2.Los Angeles Lakers: Brandon Ingram SF Duke

With the Lakers currently 13 and 51 they are obviously out of the playoffs. They are clearly building around Rookie sensation D’angelo Russell and Power forward Julius Randle, Nick Young has shown he can’t perform at the 3 spot and Brandon Ingram is the closest player that could take the number 1 overall pick from Ben Simmons.

3.Phoenix Suns: Dragan Bender PF Croatia

The Phoenix Suns are one of the most unpopular teams in the NBA. They don’t have many playmakers on the team, with Dragan Bender being selected here the suns get a good rebounder who can push the suns to a better team.

4.Boston Celtics(via Nets):Henry Ellenson PF Marquette

The Celtics are right in the playoffs and are ready to make a run…or are they? The Celtics have an All-Star in Isaiah Thomas and he has been playing great. But they have a problem at the 4 spot, Jared Sullinger has gained weight and hasn’t been the big man the Celtics need, with that being said Henry Ellenson would be a great pic here.

5.Minnesota Timberwolves: Jamal Murray SG Kentucky

Minnesota has a young team they have Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony Towns and they are building around those 2 players. By drafting Jamal Murray here they would get one of the best shooters in the draft class and he could really help them get a spot in the playoffs.

6.New Orleans Pelicans: Jakob Poeltl C Utah

Jakob Poeltl is an outstanding defender who can Fill this Pelicans lineup. They would have Jrue Holiday at the 1 spot Eric Gordon at the 2 Tyreke Evans at the 3 Anthony Davis at the 4 and Jakob Poeltl at the 5 spot. That’s a scary lineup that can make a serious run in the playoffs.

7.Denver Nuggets: Buddy Hield G Oklahoma

Denver is currently in a rebuild mode and they proved that when they got rid of some of their veterans last year and this year. When they drafted Emmanuel Mudiay last year they were trying to get there team very young and to be a threat in the future. Buddy Hield would be ideal for Denver because they need a shooter and a better upgrade from Will Barton.

  1. Toronto Raptors(via Knicks): Jaylen Brown SF California

The Raptors are one of the best teams in the league with a roster full of talent but one spot they could really use some help on is the 3 spot don’t get me wrong Demarre Carroll is a good player but can he be the starter the Raptors are looking for? Jaylen Brown Is an overall talented player and could make this team a Conference Finals team.

9.Milwuakee Bucks: Kris Dunn PG Providence

Young and talented, The Milwaukee Bucks are a very young team and will be a threat in a few years especially if they snag Dunn here. The Michael Carter Williams-Kris Dunn duo could be the best point guard duo in the league and would help this team out.

10.Sacramento Kings: Furkan Korkmaz PF Turkey

The Kings are a mess, With the George Karl and Demarcus Cousins situation and the Vlade Divac situation the front office isn’t anything special but there roster is and it can be even better if the Kings go with the big man who can score and block to help Demarcus Cousins down low.

11.Orlando Magic: Ivan Rabb PF California

Orlando just got two valuable assets in the Tobias Harris trade a few week ago Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova, so it’s safe to say the magic are willing to make moves. Drafting Ivan Rabb here would allow the magic to have a Power Forward who can actually play in the paint.

12.Utah Jazz: Diamond Stone C Maryland

This pick would be perfect for the Jazz because they could get an upgrade from Rudy Gobert and could get someone who can score and do more, and yes i just made a rhyme unintentionally but back to business here the Jazz could snag one of the best big men in the draft class here.

13.Chicago Bulls: Denzel Valentine SG/SF Michigan State

Denzel Valentine can get to the rim quicker than a blink of an eye and he can score when needed to. Chicago needs help at Small Forward because Tony Snell and Doug Mcdermott aren’t helping this team very much and that’s where Denzel comes in and gets this team back in a playoff run

14.Phoenix Suns: Skal Labissiere PF/C Kentucky

Who remembers when Skal was supposed to be the number 1 overall pick? Yeah me too. Coach John Calipari tried to make Skal Labissiere exactly like last years number 1 overall pick Karl Anthony Towns but that plan failed along with Kentucky’s season and that killed Skals draft stock but didn’t kill the Suns. If the Suns were to draft Skal that would immediately help them especially after trading Markieff Morris to the Wizards. The Suns need help down low because Tyson Chandler and PJ Tucker aren’t helping them much and that’s where Skal comes in.
