“To be announced as an Oracle Red Bull Racing Driver is a lifelong dream for me, this is something I’ve wanted and worked towards since I was eight years old”
Having competed in 11 Grand Prix and only announced as Max Verstappen’s team-mate within 24 hours after Red Bull confirmed Sergio Perez’s exit, this announcement creates a mixture of shock and curiosity amongst the Formula 1 paddock but also the Formula 1 community.

“Liam’s performances throughout his two stints with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls have demonstrated that he’s not only capable of delivering strong results but also a real racer, not afraid to mix it with the best and come out on top.”
Horner is also adamant that Red Bull can strive to continue to nurture young talent and develop future drivers/champions within their system, that being the Red Bull Academy. Liam Lawson is a continuation of that philosophy.

Yuki Tsunoda, the young Japanese driver, will have to wait patiently for his time. For now, he will have to continue building and perfecting his craft so that Red Bull will take a greater interest.
But for now, be ready for Red Bull to interject a new bid for the Formula 1 2025 Constructors Championship with Max Verstappen and now Liam Lawson.
