UFC Vancouver was a night to remember for many Canadian fans as it was a wild fight card in the Rogers Arena.

Plenty of knockouts, submissions, and incredible scraps were showcased in front of a sold-out crowd.

However, there were a few dodgy moments that happened in specific battles, which will be set as a reminder for some fans.

Here is everything that happened from an action-packed night in Vancouver.

Allen fraud checks de Ridder

The headliner was bound to be a close fight between Middleweight contenders, Reinier de Ridder and Brendan Allen.

The Dutchman believed he was one bout away from a title shot after winning his first four UFC fights in the space of eight months.

‘All In’ had just redeemed a two-fight losing streak after defeating Marvin Vettori by unanimous decision at UFC 318.

Therefore, it was likely that the winner would be in a strong position for title contention.

‘RDR’ dominated the first round after taking down Allen, landing 40 total strikes.

However, as the fight went on, Allen was taking more control, especially on the ground as he was tiring out de Ridder.

Eventually, the Dutchman ran out of energy and could no longer continue after the fourth round, giving the #9 contender a shocking TKO victory.

It’s arguably Allen’s biggest win of his career as he moves into the top five and possibly just one bout away from a golden opportunity.

Malott enters the Welterweight rankings

The Co-main event had Canada supporting one of their own as Mike Malott attempted to take Kevin Holland’s #15 spot in the rankings.

‘Trailblazer’ had just lost his last bout to Daniel Rodriguez at UFC 318, hoping to keep himself in the top 15.

Malott was on a two-fight win streak after knocking out Charles Radtke at UFC 315, looking to regain a chance at the rankings.

Both men had high finish rates, so it was expected there would be a stoppage win for either man.

Holland successfully started with more strikes and landed a takedown in the first round.

Malott turned the tables when he out-stroked the Californian in round three and dominated his grappling in the third round.

Not to forget, the Canadian did land some accidental groin kicks, potentially affecting Holland’s performance.
