The O2 Arena is back hosting a UFC Fight Night as UK fans continue to build their excitement for an action-packed show.

The last time the UFC visited London, Sean Brady earned a credible fourth-round submission win against former welterweight champion Leon Edwards in enemy territory.

In the main event, the stakes are high as two undefeated contenders from Russia and England aim to triumph in what looks to be a featherweight title eliminator.

Here is everything you need to know about the headliner of UFC London, as well as three other fights worth watching.

Evloev eyeing eventual title shot after long layoff

We haven’t seen Movsar Evloev in the Octagon since December 2024, when he extended his undefeated record to 19 wins after beating Aljamain Sterling by unanimous decision at UFC 310.

The 32-year-old was scheduled to face Aaron Pico at UFC Abu Dhabi last year, but had to withdraw due to an injury.

Many believed that the Russian would be next to face Alexander Volkanovski for the title at UFC 325, seemingly due to the fact that he had been the #1 contender for so long.

But the opportunity was given to Diego Lopes instead, as Evloev’s missed chance may have been due to his inactivity in 2025.

The Ingushetia-born mixed martial artist has already faced a well-known Englishman, Arnold Allen, going the distance with ‘Almighty’ to win by unanimous decision at UFC 297.

Evloev makes his 10th UFC appearance in London and, remarkably, has yet to show a highlight-reel moment in the organisation, winning all of his UFC bouts by decision.

However, before entering the biggest MMA promotion, the former M-1 Global Bantamweight Champion claimed seven finishes from 10 victories, which consisted of three KO/TKO wins and four submissions.

If there is a time to pull off an eye-catching performance, it’s this weekend as Evloev does not want to miss another shot at the 145-pound title.

Murphy hopes to make a statement on home soil

It’s fair to say Lerone Murphy brought a lot of attention when he knocked out Pico at UFC 319, which placed him in the conversation for title contention, while staying unbeaten in 18 fights.

‘The Miracle’ has been more active than his upcoming opponent, making some of the MMA community believe that he was ready for the next featherweight title shot, but that wasn’t the case.

The likelihood was due to the fact that the 34-year-old has not faced enough highly ranked fighters in the 145-pound division.

In this case, Murphy’s highest-ranked opponent was Josh Emmett, the #8 contender, whom he defeated by unanimous decision in the headliner of UFC Vegas 105.

The Manchester-born fighter has gone the distance with recognisable names in the division, which include Dan Ige and Edson Barboza.

In the two times he fought in 2023, Murphy captured victories at the O2 Arena with a split decision against Gabriel Santos at UFC 286, before a unanimous decision triumph over Josh Culibao in a fight night.

With 17 wins on his MMA record, the #3 contender has knocked out eight of his foes, with only three of those occurring in the UFC.

Depending on how Murphy gets it done in London, not only will he become the #1 contender, but he will also be heavily eyed as Volkanovski’s next title challenger.

Three Unmissable Watches at UFC London

Michael ‘Venom’ Page vs Sam Patterson

Two Brits clash at welterweight, with a #13 ranking on the line and a battle that could very likely end in a stoppage.

MVP earned back-to-back unanimous decision wins in 2025, defeating Shara Magomedov and Jared Cannonier at middleweight, but the 38-year-old is still searching for his first finish in the UFC.

Patterson is on a four-fight win streak with all of those victories ending in the first round, making a big statement in his last bout when he stopped Trey Waters by TKO at UFC Paris.

Englishmen have 29 finishes combined on their MMA record, with Page earning more knockouts and Patterson claiming more submissions, so expect anything for this one.

Roman Dolidze vs Christian Leroy Duncan

In a similar scenario, the #11 position in the middleweight division is on the line as a Georgian veteran aims to redeem himself against a rising English prospect.

Dolidze’s three-fight win streak came to an end when he faced Anthony Hernandez at UFC Vegas 109, losing by fourth-round submission, which would be his first stoppage loss.

‘CLD’ is currently on a three-fight triumphant streak with back-to-back knockout wins at the Meta APEX against the recently retired Eryk Anders and Marco Tulio.

No matter the result for Dolidze, it should be the case that he will stay in the top 15, but this is a shot that Duncan cannot miss, as a chance to enter the rankings doesn’t come around often.

Mason Jones vs Axel Sola

It’s England vs France in the featured prelim at the O2 Arena as both men are coming off from TKO victories at UFC Paris.

Jones made his return to the UFC in 2025, capturing a unanimous decision against Jeremy Stephens at UFC Des Moines before defeating Bolaji Oki in a two-round war at the Accor Arena.

Sola made his UFC debut in his last bout, where he stopped Rhys McKee in the third round to remain unbeaten in his MMA career with 12 fights.

Both mixed martial artists are prospects that cannot be ignored, and depending on if they pull off a statement win, they could be looking at a shot in the lightweight top 15.
