The average price for watching an NFL game has become increasingly expensive during the last twenty years. The ticket cost is not linked, in any way, to a franchise’s record or the opponents. Usually, it all falls to the stadium services or the overall franchise success in recent years.

Also, teams who play in newer arenas charge more, while those who use older domes ask for less. A fan looking to watch his favourite players and happy to do it from standard seating can pay slightly more than 100 dollars for a cheap single-game entry.

How much does it take to see the Minnesota Vikings and their divisional opponents live?

Even if the costs increase, the stadiums are usually sold out. The NFL is one of the most exciting leagues in the world, and more and more people are dreaming of seeing a live game. Let’s consider, for example, the Minnesota Vikings. They play in the most interesting division in the National Football League, the glorious NFC North. Thanks to affordable prices (for an NFL franchise) and a modern venue like the U.S. Bank Stadium, the Vikes attract many fans.

According to research, iGamingNuts.com reports that the cost of tickets to attend a Minnesota Vikings game and the price of drinks and snacks is quite competitive. The ticket cost is slightly higher than the NFL average, around $123 per game. With about $140, fans can enjoy the game and a meal with a beer and a hot dog ($16, more or less). Of course, a supporter can also spend much more if he can afford it. Let’s see how much a fan can spend watching his team play its rivals in the NFC North.

Green Bay Packers

Green Bay is a smaller market than Minneapolis. The Packers supporters are hugely proud of their team and the front office knows this very well. They tend to charge slightly more than the Vikings on tickets, asking for more than 130 dollars a game during regular season, while the prices for food and drinks are practically the same. Minnesota and Green Bay can be considered two cheap teams, because they charge less than the league average.

Detroit Lions

Detroit is home to one of the hottest teams in the league right now. The Lions are sitting alone at the top of the NFC and are looking pretty sharp, having won 7 of the 8 matches they played in the regular season. Since we are talking about one of the most successful teams, playing in one of the most passionate cities in the US, where fans are crazy for their franchise, we shouldn’t be surprised if the prices for tickets at Ford Field are considerably higher. You better forget about seeing the Lions without paying at least 200 dollars. The average cost for one person for a single game is around $220, and this price is for the cheaper seating.

Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears were the most expensive team to watch a decade ago or so. Right now, after some rebuilding years in which they managed to win very few games, the prices at Soldier Field are way more popular. People can buy an entry for one single standard-level seat for less than 160 dollars, which means a fan can enjoy his team, drink a beer, and taste a hot dog for $175.

Kansas City Chiefs

Moving away from the NFC, let’s take a look at how much the world champions charge for a single game at their iconic temple, Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Aficionados who would like to see a (probably) unforgettable performance of the face of the NFL, Patrick Mahomes, along with his buddies Travis Kelce, Kareem Hunt and DeAndre Hopkins, can expect to spend at least $230.

It seems pretty expensive, but let’s not forget we’re talking about the back-to-back champions here, the frontrunners to a legendary three-peat, something that never happened in the long history of this game. Plus, some lucky fans may run into Taylor Swift herself at the Stadium, cheering on her fianceé, Kelce. She often goes there to support him.
