A move to the Saudi League appears off the table for Real Madrid’s Vini Jr. as the superstar appears set to stay in La Liga. The Brazilian international has a home in the Spanish capital. To the delight of fans, it appears that he won’t be playing games in the upcoming negotiations. Instead, he’s made his intentions and desires clear.

Things can get ugly between the player, club, and agents. A power struggle can often ensue. During bad scenarios, all sides will attempt to handle the business aspect of the sport disingenuously. Fortunately for Madrid fans, this will be far from the case with the winger.

Real Madrid’s Vini Jr. put any potential concern at ease regarding his future with the club. Speaking with reporters, he shared his current thought process:

I’m very calm, because I have a contract until 2027, and let’s hope we can renew my contract as soon as possible. I’m happy here, playing with the best players in the world.

A lot can happen in two years, and vastly different states of mind can occur even on a month-to-month basis. These words from the Brazilian should help with potential worries. They clarify a lot surrounding the player’s desires. His priority is clearly to stay with his current La Liga club.

He knows how much Florentino Pérez supports him, and the Brazilian also knows that he has the full backing of the club. To the dismay of many football fans, the organization notably boycotted the entire Ballon d’Or ceremony.

This level of support meant a lot. Winning potential domestic league competitions. Also, having a legitimate Champions League chance is huge. Furthermore, it’s something that a potential Saudi League team cannot offer.

Strong Finish Needed From Real Madrid’s Vini Jr.

Team chemistry and play have been frustrating at times. The joint history and ambitions are a shared aspect between player and club. This type of relationship cannot be easily recreated elsewhere.

It’s clear that Real Madrid’s Vini Jr. trusts everyone. It lessens the need to drag out a long process potentially. He appears more interested in securing a long-term deal. This also contrasts with the desire to leverage more money or other contract aspects.

Carlo Ancelotti may be on his way out. That will likely depend on how this team finishes. The Spanish club will trust the Brazilian regardless. As much as the attacker makes his intentions plain, Madrid has also revealed their intentions to keep Vini Jr. happy.

It’s unknown what exactly is needed to get the best out of him and the team moving forward. For now, however, everyone can rest assured that the Brazilian isn’t going to the Saudi League any time soon. Ancelotti still has this team in position in the three major competitions. And La Liga is still a tight race.

It hasn’t necessarily looked good against the top-quality sides. A lot can change within a season, and the same can be said of personal attractions between players and clubs. Unless something major changes, however, Real Madrid’s Vini Jr. appears happy to stay put. He’ll want to push to improve the team and his personal performances. This will be particularly true against the better teams throughout all competitions.
