If there is one Mixed Martial Arts team that is currently taking the world by storm, it is the Fighting Nerds.

Plus, after winning Gym of the Year in the World MMA Awards, the Fighting Nerds are only making a bigger name for themselves.

Based in Sao Paulo, the team have four fighters who have been on a sensational rise towards title glory.

So, here are the next fights of the notable Brazilian four.

Carlos Prates

We start with the only fighter on the team to suffer a loss in the UFC as he faces Geoff Neal at UFC 319.

This came in his last bout against Ian Machado Garry at UFC Kansas City, losing by unanimous decision.

Before that fight, he was supposed to face Neal at UFC 314; however, due to injury, ‘Handz of Steel’ had to pull out.

Fast Forward from April to August, Prates gets his chance to face Neal and rise in the Welterweight rankings.

‘The Nightmare’ was on a path of destruction before his first UFC loss, earning 10 consecutive KO/TKO wins.

The Taubate-born fighter became a scary prospect after a second-round knockout win against Li Jingliang at UFC 305.

Prates became a Welterweight contender when he knocked out Neil Magny in the first round at UFC Vegas 100.

While Neal is talented on the feet, he will have to watch out for the power and precision of the Brazilian’s striking at UFC 319.

Caio Borralho

The first fighter of the Fighting Nerds who could be fighting for a title next, if he defeats Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Paris.

‘The Natural’ has not fought in almost a year since putting on an impressive display against Jared Cannonier at UFC Vegas 96.

His French opponent did finish Cannonier at UFC Louisville by fourth-round TKO; however, the MMA community believed it was a controversial stoppage.

But, after knocking out a former champion, ‘The Sniper’ has the right to be in title contention alongside Borralho.

The 32-year-old has only had seven fights in the UFC, winning five of those bouts by unanimous decision.

The Brazilian does have two stoppage wins in the organisation, claiming a submission win against Michal Oleksiejczuk at UFC Vegas 72.

But that was not as impressive as his second-round knockout victory against Paul Craig at UFC 301.

Despite only being the #6 Middleweight contender, Borralho has the chance to become the next guaranteed title challenger against either Dricus Du Plessis or Khamzat Chimaev.

Mauricio Ruffy

The only unranked Fighting Nerds mixed martial artist gets his opportunity to enter the Lightweight rankings against Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC Paris.

Ruffy put himself in contention for Knockout of the Year after his spinning wheel kick KO against Bobby Green at UFC 313.

This can pose a big threat to the ‘God of War’ who suffered two back-to-back KO/TKO losses.

However, Saint-Denis will be a danger to the Brazilian as he remains to have a 100% finish rate in MMA.

The Coruripe-born fighter is looking like the hottest 155-pound prospect, despite only three fights in the UFC.

The 29-year-old has featured in three PPV events, including his debut when he knocked out Jamie Mullarkey at UFC 301.

Plus, Ruffy only went the distance once in his career, which came against James Llontop at UFC 309.

If the knockout artist can pull off a big statement win in enemy territory, he may get a shot in the top five of the Lightweight division.

Jean Silva

Finally, the Fighting Nerd who cannot stop barking up the Featherweight division as he takes on Diego Lopes at Noche UFC.

Silva only entered the 145-pound rankings in his last fight after submitting Bryce Mitchell at UFC 314.

The Brazilian faces a former title challenger as Lopes was unsuccessful in his quest for title glory against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 314.

The fellow Brazilian had a quick rise, just like ‘Lord’ Silva, placing himself on PPV events against formidable contenders.

The 28-year-old has stopped everyone in his way in his five UFC fights.

The Foz do Iguacu-born fighter knocked out Charles Jourdain in the second round at UFC 303.

Two weeks later, he defeated Drew Dober by third-round TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at UFC Denver, proving how dangerous he is.

Remarkably, if Silva triumphs at Noche UFC, he could book himself a title bout in his next fight, depending on the current circumstances of the Featherweight division.
