In a Swiss newspaper, Blick, Sebastian Vettel has been targeted by Chief Executive Officer of Sauber Motorsport that is due to be converted by Audi, Andreas Seidl. Under a new corporate umbrella and under the Audi name, Seidl sees Vettel as an appropriate choice to join the German outfit for 2026. However, many people say it will take some convincing to bring the four-time world champion out of retirement.

Also, Vettel has been parts of speculation that he will return to another German team, which being Mercedes. Why Mercedes? Due to Lewis Hamilton’s departure to Ferrari in 2025 that will create a void to fill to join the Brackley based team. Unfortunately, the rumours surrounding around Audi and Mercedes, the former Aston Martin driver has not commented on any of the rumours tying him to the German teams.
