Manchester United has witnessed significant transfer activity this summer, signing Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, and Diego Leon in their bid to ramp up their attacking department.

The summer arrivals have paved the way for the departure of existing stars such as Marcus Rashford and now Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Rasmus Hojlund.

Marcus Rashford joined Barcelona on a 12-month loan deal with the option of the move becoming permanent for £30.3 million (35 million euros) in 2026. His performance for the Spanish giants will ultimately decide if the club wants to make his move permanent or not.

Chelsea have finalised a £40 million deal for Alejandro Garnacho, and the Argentinian will stay put at the club till 2032. Maresca has got his man, as they sought to bring in a dynamic winger who could create problems for the opposition’s defence.

Meanwhile, Italian champions Napoli have signed Rasmus Hojlund on an initial loan deal. The move would eventually become permanent during the following summer transfer window, provided that Antonio Conte’s men qualify for the UEFA Champions League. This move would require the Serie A club to fork out an additional £44 million.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Real Betis is very close to signing Antony, as they are in the midst of advanced negotiations. All parties are confident that a move will eventually materialise for the Brazilian international.

Is Sancho set to stay at United?

Sancho, on the other hand, is in a different situation as talks with Roma over a potential move had broken down. Manchester United are doing its part to offload the player; however, they are still waiting for a club to show genuine interest in signing the 25-year-old winger.

A move to a Saudi or Turkish club is also on the cards, as they could reignite their interest in signing the player. With their longer transfer window compared to European clubs, plotting a move wouldn’t be difficult.

Sancho could stay, but a transfer at this stage cannot be ruled out. Everything depends on which club now approaches and what they plan to offer.

Kobbie Mainoo has allegedly been asked to leave Manchester United on loan before the end of the transfer window, but the Red Devils have no desire to let the Englishman depart.

Until it is official, I cannot say much. I want Kobbie [Mainoo] to stay. He needs to fight for his place. We need Kobbie. I understand that the players who aren’t playing in this moment are disappointed. You have to fight during the week,” head coach Ruben Amorim told reporters during his press conference on Friday.

As Manchester United restructures its squad, it will be interesting to see how it performs throughout the season as it looks to lift silverware and redeem itself following an abysmally poor performance last season.
