Christian Eriksen will reportedly leave Manchester United in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Red Devils are okay with Eriksen leaving the team during the summer.

The Danish international made a switch from Brentford to United in 2022 and since then he has racked up 65 appearances for the club. In his first season, Eriksen made an instant impact with his brilliant passing ability and dynamic offensive plays. His impressive performances helped cement a place in the starting eleven.

In the 2022-23 season, he made over 44 appearances for the Red Devils. His place in the team was settled however the next season things were a bit different for him.

His knee injury between November and December and the sudden rise of Kobbie Mainoo has put Christian Eriksen in a difficult situation.

The Danish international hasn’t featured much for United and with Mainoo’s sudden ascent, Eriksen is staring at a situation where he will come down the pecking order. Eriksen has expressed unhappiness over the situation and insists on more game time.

Denmark head coach Kasper Hjulmand has also admitted that he is concerned by the midfielder’s lack of action at club level ahead of this summer’s European Championship.

The 32-year-old will play a crucial role for Denmark in the upcoming Euro’s and will want more game time now in the build-up to the tournament.

Eriksen’s departure is going to materialize soon?

According to Football Insider, Manchester United are open to letting Eriksen leave this summer despite the midfielder having another 12 months left in his existing contract.

Saudi clubs are closely monitoring the situation and there is interest coming from Turkey as well.

Eriksen leaving Manchester United could be on the cards, but things could change as we approach the summer transfer window.

Eriksen is a dynamic midfielder who possesses great passing ability, his ability to read the game coupled with his passing technique makes him a robust midfielder who can pull the strings and create numerous goal-scoring chances for the team.

The 32-year-old made his debut for Ajax in 2010 and since then he has made over 600 appearances in club competitions.
