Mexican Independence Day was celebrated with an incredible fight night in San Antonio, providing plenty of entertainment.
The Frost Bank Center seemed to have it all, from stunning knockouts to jaw-dropping fights.
While Dana White missed out on this fight card, due to promoting Canelo vs Crawford, the UFC president will be happy with the aftermath of the night.
Here is what happened from all the action at Noche UFC.
Lopes stops Silva in round two
The headliner was bringing a lot of attention with two Brazilian fighters keen to move into title contention.
Diego Lopes was hoping to recover from his title loss to Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 314, aiming to claim a rematch.
Meanwhile, Jean Silva had his eyes set on flying up the rankings after submitting Bryce Mitchell at UFC 314.
The scheduled five-round bout only lasted two rounds, and the Brazilian Featherweights did not disappoint.
The Manaus-born fighter dominated the first round, landing a takedown before raining fire with a ground-and-pound, almost stopping the fight.
The second round was building up with more chaos as both men were exchanging powerful striking combinations.
However, late into round two, Lopes landed a spinning elbow, knocking down Silva before finishing the fight with multiple shots on the ground.
It’s a triumph that sees the #2 contender maintain his position, and after a performance like that, it should put him back in the title conversation.
Martinez becomes a Bantamweight contender
The co-main event provided action in the Bantamweight division, almost having a cancellation after Raul Rosas Jr pulled out.
Rob Font narrowly won his last fight in a split decision victory against a short-notice opponent, Jean Matsumoto.
Martinez made his UFC debut in his previous bout, scoring a first-round TKO win over Saiimon Oliveira.
The Mexican stepped up to the Puerto Rican on short notice with a huge reward, if he was successful.
The first round saw the ‘Black Spartan’ land more strikes against Font, proving he would be an issue on the feet.
However, in the second round, Font gained control of the feet while trying to land a few takedowns.
The third round was undoubtedly the most eye-catching as both men traded punches, plus the fight went on longer than 15 minutes as referee Dan Miragliotta could not hear the final bell.
Martinez did enough to win by unanimous decision, placing himself in the top 10 of the Bantamweight rankings.
What else happened at Noche UFC?
Rafa Garcia went into a gruelling three-round war with Jared Gordon, winning by third-round TKO.
It was instead a surprise that this fight was not given a Fight of the Night bonus, which was instead awarded to Lopes vs. Silva.
Kelvin Gasetlum defeated Dustin Stoltzfus by unanimous decision in what was another three-round slugfest.
Once again, it was shocking that an entertaining battle like this one wasn’t awarded a 50k bonus.
Alexander Hernandez earned his fourth consecutive victory after stopping Diego Ferreira in the second round by TKO.
Santiago Luna shone on his UFC debut, knocking out Quang Le in the first round to keep his perfect MMA record of seven wins.
Dusko Todorovic redeemed himself after submitting Jose Daniel Medina with a Rear-Naked Choke in round one.
A late knockdown from Joaquim Silva potentially saved him the victory, edging a split decision against Claudio Puelles.
