Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing a highly rated Real Madrid player. However, the player is not keen on a transfer away from the Spanish capital.

For the upcoming January transfer window, the Red Devils have limited funds to utilize when it comes to acquiring players. However, for the summer transfer window, Amorim would have sufficient funds to use when it comes to bringing in the desired players.

His transfer wishlist includes signing a midfielder, as both Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are likely to leave. Rumours are swirling that the Brazilian midfielder is being linked to a move back to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Both current midfielders are not being considered in Amorim’s plans; hence, signing a midfielder would be key to plugging the gap.

Manchester United is proactively looking at several players and has considered approaching Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga through intermediaries (via Sports Mole).

The 22-year-old plays a vital role in Los Blancos’ midfield. Since joining in 2021 from Rennes in a £25.8 million deal, the French international has racked up 152 appearances in all competitions, scored two goals, and grabbed nine assists.

The French international’s dynamic posture on the pitch fits in perfectly with Madrid’s fluid gameplay strategy. Camavinga has won two Champions League titles and two La Liga crowns in the Spanish capital. However, he has been limited to seven appearances in all competitions this season due to a summer knee injury.

The French star has been made aware of Manchester United’s interest; however, he has politely declined the offer to leave Real Madrid, where he is completely settled and intends to stay for “many more years”.

In November 2023, Camavinga extended his Real Madrid contract until the summer of 2029, and his current terms also include an astronomical release clause worth €1bn (£831m).

Ruben Amorim will have to address the midfield issue; however, the two other positions that need to be looked into are the left-back and striker positions.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkee have failed to make a considerable impact upfront, so the Red Devils are looking to bring in another attacker to add more teeth to their frontline.

The left-back position has been marred by an injury crisis. Both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have been sidelined with injuries. The club is looking to bring in another left back to offset the unavailability issue.
