Time for Pakistan to  play India!

One of the biggest rivalries in world sport is set to be renewed again later this year, as the Pakistan and Indian cricket teams are set to meet in a test series, more than likely to be held in the UAE.

Pakistan have not hosted international cricket since the 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team, instead setting up base for their ‘home’ series in the middle east, with the UAE the choice since that terrible attack.

It has led to the most famous of meetings between Pakistan and India to be parked away, with only a limited overs series a couple of years ago, making it onto the menu between the two sides.

That is all set to change towards the end of 2015 however, with three tests, five one-dayers and two Twenty20 internationals on the agenda.

PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan confirmed the news earlier today, whilst also highlighting there was next to no chance the games will be played in the host country of Pakistan.

It is sure to be one of the hottest tickets in World Cricket should the two boards and respective teams and management agree to the schedule.

Pakistan have been in superb form at their adopted home, and are set to play England in October/November ahead of the planned Indian series.

Whilst their supporters would have been disappointed at their world cup showing, the news that the old rivalry with India is set to recommence, will create a buzz in their homeland.
