Manchester City now have its sights set on the FIFA Club World Cup as it looks to salvage a disappointing season.
The onset of the Summer Transfer Window and what is in store for Manchester City?
The club is looking to strengthen its defence department, and one of their first targets they have identified is Rayan Ait Nouri, the left-back from Wolverhampton, who has been making a lot of noise in the Premier League.
The Algerian international is a strong and skilful left-back; his flair and the ability to get past players with ease are what make him stand out.
Manchester City were quick to pounce on him, and they finalised a club-to-club agreement with Wolves to sign the player for a total fee close to €40m (£33.7m).
The Algerian international was initially looking to represent his country against Rwanda in a friendly match on Thursday. However, he was not included in the squad after the decision was made for him to travel to Manchester for his medical.
According to Journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ait-Nouri completed medical tests on Saturday, and the ‘next step’ is for the defender to sign a five-year contract until 2030.

The citizens have also acquired Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki from AC Milan and Lyon FC, respectively.
