Villa: A New Ray of Hope for Rashford?

Rashford’s form was heavily criticised by Amorim, who said that he would rather play his 63-year-old goalkeeping coach instead of the 27-year-old.
If you hear this as a player who has been at the club since you were a kid, it can either demoralise you or motivate you to prove them wrong.
Hence, a move to the West Midlands may just be what Rashford needs to restart his career.
It may also allow him to impress Thomas Tuchel, who may be interested in picking him in his future England squads.
Asensio Joins the Party

Marco Asensio, who joined Paris Saint-Germain from Real Madrid in the summer of 2023, had a decent first season in Ligue 1, scoring four goals and providing five assists in 19 games.
This season, he has just two goals and four assists from 12 games. He is nowhere near good enough for a player with his quality.

Tel Selects Spurs
Embed from Getty ImagesDespite interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, the French winger has chosen to go to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on loan from Bayern Munich, with an option to buy in the summer for £45million.
Tel, who joined the Bundesliga giants from Rennes in the summer of 2022, had a decent first season, scoring five goals in 22 games.
He improved on that stat in the following season, with seven goals and five assists in 30 games.
As Ange Postecoglou is dealing with a list of injuries to players such as Dominic Solanke, Timo Werner, and James Maddison, this move may just be what Spurs need to get their season back on track.
The involvement of Harry Kane and Eric Dier, who were also teammates at the North London club, may also have influenced Tel to choose Spurs.
This may not be the only reason for the move, but sometimes, if your teammate has had a good experience with a past club, they can tempt you to join that club.

Erling Haaland is still banging in on goals for fun, but the arrival of Marmoush was supposed to bring an extra threat to forward positions.
Although the team has shown improvement in the last few games, the Egyptian, who signed from Eintracht Frankfurt on a four-and-a-half-year deal for £59m plus a further £4.2m in bonuses, is yet to make an impression in the Premier League.
So far, Guardiola has used him on the left wing against Chelsea and as a number 10 against Arsenal.
As he is flexible, you can understand why the City Boss is rotating him in and out of the forward positions.
However, given that his primary role at Frankfurt was number 9, you can see why City brought him to cover for Haaland should he get injured.
