Revamped Wizards face Nets as they aim for four straight

This revamped Wizards team is going for four wins in a row.

What a week does to a basketball team. Not too long ago, we were all wondering if the Wizards should blow it up and tank. Almost a week later, look what has happened. This team looks nothing like the team from a week ago that lost to Orlando and set up many doomsday scenarios from fans. With that, here are some things to watch out for tomorrow night. This revamped Wizards team looks a lot better. Fans can hope that this team is the one that is here to stay. This revamped Wizards team is going for four wins in a row.

Two teams are trending in opposite directions

The Wizards have won three straight games after starting off 2-9. The Nets have lost three straight games after winning five in a row not too long ago.

The Nets have been on a tough stretch of games though. Their losses have come to the Timberwolves, Heat, and the Warriors. It would have been hard for any team to win at least one game in that stretch, especially if you lose Caris LeVert during that period.

The Nets are a different team

All of that damage that Billy King inflicted on this team years ago is a thing in the past. Now, the Nets have a brand new identity.

Caris LeVert has been a nice first option but Brooklyn are filled with a lot of middling players. Guys such as Spencer Dinwiddie,  D’Angelo Russell, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and Shabazz Napier make up the roster.

Rodions Kurucs will be one to watch out for. However, he will probably only feature in garbage time.

This revamped Wizards team needs as many wins as possible on this homestand

They really do. After this game, Washington hosts both Portland and the LA Clippers. Both of those games are against good opponents who have played really well against the Wizards in the past. After that, they head out on the road to play Toronto, the Pelicans twice, and the Philadelphia 76ers. They need these games and they need them badly.

However, this Wizards team is a brand new team. They are now revamped and better than ever as shown by their dominant performance against the Cavaliers. Normally, that win would have been much closer but not last night. Maybe the attempts from fans to have the team revamped got into them. This could explain why some of the performances from guys like Otto Porter have been happening. Hopefully Washington keep whatever streak they have going alive.
