Bayern Munich has been monitoring several goalkeepers to find a replacement for the ageing Manuel Neuer. The Bavarians are actively scouting potential signings, including Liverpool’s no. 1 Alisson Becker.

There are quite a few clubs from Saudi Arabia interested in acquiring his services; however, according to many reports, Bayern Munich is at the forefront as they are planning to prepare for life without the timeless Manuel Neuer, who will turn 39 next year.
Several new reports were making the rounds that Bayern was trying to establish contact with Liverpool over Alisson’s potential sale. However, according to Florian Plettenberg, the rumours are weak, and there isn’t anything substantial.
He insists that the Reds goalkeeper is not part of their plans.
Bayern are not looking to part ways with Neuer; instead, they will hand the German a new 12-month contract that will keep him at Allianz Arena until 2026.
Alexander Nubel to succeed Manuel Neuer?
There are plans for Alexander Nubel to succeed Neuer in the Bayern goal eventually. The 28-year-old spent last season on loan with Stuttgart and sealed a return to the Bundesliga overachievers on a two-year loan this summer.
Nubel will return to Bayern in 2026, at which point the plan is for him to succeed Neuer.

The Brazilian international will compete with Mamardashvili for a starting spot next season. It will be interesting to see how this situation evolves.
