Bournemouth won’t be able to do much to prevent the player’s sale, leaving them powerless (via The Athletic).

The release clause for the player will also be active in the January 2027 transfer window; however, by then, the figure will have reduced.

Is Liverpool at the forefront of this transfer race?

Liverpool are so far the favourites to sign the 25-year-old, given Sporting director Richard Hughes’ strong relationship with the Cherries.

Richard Hughes spent a considerable part of his playing career at Bournemouth and later took the role of Technical Director before leaving for Liverpool in 2014.

Hughes could play a pivotal role in helping Liverpool sign the player; however, the process will not be straightforward, as Tottenham and Manchester City have also expressed interest in acquiring the player.

At the end of the day, where the player wants to be will ultimately shape the transfer scenario.

So it will be interesting to see how this situation pans out, as Semenyo could leave the club in January or choose to stay.

Antoine Semenyo is a well-balanced and engaging right winger who can open up the opposition defence with clever runs, making him a valuable asset.

The Ghana international has so far racked up six goals and three assists in over 11 Premier League appearances. Since joining Bournemouth in 2023, Semenyo has scored 28 goals in over 101 appearances for the club in all competitions.
