Arsenal came up on top to secure three points in a late winner beaten Wolverhampton 2-1.

In the early stages of the first half, Arsenal was dominant; there was a shout for a penalty when Martinelli was brought down but not given.

Not long after, wolves took the lead when Gabriel misplaced back pass fell to Wolves striker Hee-Chan, went past Ramsdale, and scored, making it 1-0 to wolves.

Arsenal was putting pressure on wolves but nearly conceded a second goal. When Wolves striker Jiménez missed his chance, putting it out wide.

The second half was more similar, Arsenal on the front foot but no scoring. That change at the 81st minute when substitute Pepe kept his composure scored, giving arsenal the equaliser with nine minutes to go.

Wolves at that point were time-wasting to kill time. It was not enough, as Arsenal secured the win when lacazette scored at the last minute of the game, giving Arsenal the must-win victory.

This win has moved Arsenal to fifth place, one point below Manchester United plus two games in hand. Wolves remain at seventh place with a game in hand.
