Logano passed Kevin Harvick entering the final corner of the race to win his first road course race in the Sprint Cup Series.

Harvick had run out of gas entering turns 6 and 7 and didn’t have a big enough gap to hold off Logano, Logano pitted seven laps later than Harvick. Harvick was still leading going onto the final lap, and was given breathing space by Logano running wide at Turn 1.

Although, Harvick then began to slow going into the last turn, allowing Logano to catch up again and sweep around the outside of him on the final turn. Logano already won the Daytona 500, guaranteeing a spot in the season-ending Chase.

Logano completed the first weekend sweep at the track after winning the Xfinity race Saturday.
He also gave Roger Penske his first Cup victory at The Glen. Kyle Busch, who ran out of fuel on the last lap at Pocono while leading, finished second Sunday and moved to 30th in points.Harvick finished third followed by Matt Kenseth and Kurth Busch finishing up fourth and fifth respectively.
Polesitter AJ Allmendinger led the first 20 laps, but after lacking the speed to pull away, he was overtook by Martin Truex Jr early on and was never able to recover.Tony Stewart, who qualified third, was competing at Watkins Glen for the first time after missing the previous two Cup races at the Road Course.Stewart finished last after his car broke a rear gear midway through the 90-lap race.
