Despite Bruno’s insistence that he’s content with the club, Newcastle’s unstable financial standing has stirred up transfer speculations concerning the player.

The Magpies may need to raise funds from player sales before they can reinvest in the squad if they are to stay within the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules.

Manchester City is at the forefront when it comes to signing the player?

Manchester City are keen on signing the player as they are looking to bring on board a new holding midfielder.

According to AS the Citizens have already made initial contact with the player’s representatives ahead of a potential summer move.

Reports claim that City are looking to fast-track the process and sign Guimaraes as soon as possible.

Cut-throat competition in the race to sign the Brazilian?

The pursuit to sign Guimaraes does not end here as PSG and Barcelona have also expressed interest in signing the player.

That is not all Chelsea and Arsenal are looking to launch a summer move after previously being linked with the Newcastle man.

The Brazilian has a contract with Newcastle till 2028 and the release clause inserted in his contract is £100m.

It will be interesting to see how this transfer situation evolves as the negotiation process could be tough given the player’s release clause and lengthy contract with the club.
