Omar Figueroa Jr. remains undefeated, and has won by unanimous decision against Ricky “Rickster” Burns in the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.
The fight, aired as part of the Premier Boxing Champions series, was scored at 117-109, 116-110, and another 116-110.
Both fighters were very entertaining, with possible influences from the crowd, as Texas was Figueroa’s home state.
While Burns had two losses last year, the Scottish boxer showed vast improvement despite the loss against Figueroa Jr.
The fight was Burns’ US debut.
