Team India for Arise Asia Twenty20 Cup 2016

This time 2016 Arise Asia Cup will be a Twenty20 International (T20) cricket tournament. This will be held in Bangladesh from 24th February to 6th March 2016. It will be the 13th edition of the Asia Cup, the fifth to be held in Bangladesh, and the first to be played using the T20I format instead of 50 overs format.

India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are four the teams to fight for the Asia cup title. Last edition was in 2014 , Sri Lanka won their 5th Asia Cup title. Pakistan was the other finalist. They were the runners-up of the tournament.

Now in 2016 , The Lankan tigers will go into the tournament as defending champions. All the four teams will be looking to prepare themselves for the ICC World T20 2016 in India.

The next Asia Cup will be held in 2018. India will be hosting that edition. The Indian team for Arise Asia cup 2016 has been announced.

India has named 15 member squad for Asia T20 cup in Bangladesh.

India’s best fast bowler Mohd Shami and left arm spinner Pawan Negi are included in 15 member squad.

Ashish Nehra, Yuvraj Singh , Jasprit Bumrah , Hardik Pandya have been retained in the 15 member squad. This team will led by Ms Dhoni.

The selection committee in Delhi has announced these squads yesterday.

MS Dhoni (c), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, Pawan Negi, Mohammed Shami, Ashish Nehra, Ravichandran Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, Jasprit Bumrah.

There is no place for Manish Pandey , Bhuneshwar Kumar and Stuart Binny in this squad. Shami is back from injury, which he suffered down under. Pawan Negi is a surprise selection from the BCCI.

The schedule of Arise Asia cup 2016 has been announced.

India would be facing Bangladesh in their first game on 24th February.

On 27th February they will clash against the arch rivals Pakistan.

On March 1st India will take on Sri Lanka.
