Given the fact that Yorkshire Carnegie’s first team is without a trophy in seven years, Gough may see that as one of the targets for the club to achieve in the 2022 season.

Gough is set to meet up with Chairman Lord Patel on Wednesday to discuss and map out the future of the club.

Another decision for the former Yorkshire pacer to make is: who to appoint as the Firat Team Coach.

A potential candidate is Essex’s, Anthony McGrath, who has been with the club for more than four and a half years.
