They were simply outplaying each team they came up against with they eye-catching style of football.

Before the season got suspended due to coronavirus crisis, Liverpool recorded 27 wins from 29 league games with 25pts clear from Manchester City.

Manchester City put up a great battle throughout the season, they tried to cut the points difference on numerous occasions. However, Liverpool were just steamrolling teams week in and week out.

Jurgen Klopp becomes the first Liverpool manager to win the league since Kenny Dalglish in 1990, during the thirty year title drought Liverpool have tried  with several different managers. The likes of Graeme Souness, Roy Evans, Gerard Houllier, Rafa Benitez, Roy Hodgson, Kenny Dalglish (2nd time as manager) and Brendan Rodgers, all have failed where Jurgen Klopp succeeded.

“I have no words. It is unbelievable, much more than I thought was possible. Becoming champions with this club is absolutely incredible. This is for Kenny, for Stevie – everyone! The Manchester City game was really tense, I didn’t want to be involved. It was intense but it is incredible from my players. What they have done over the last few years in exceptional and it’s a pure joy for me to coach them.
