Tom Brady is back
Tom Brady’s retirement lasted less than two months.
In February, the 44-year-old quarterback had announced he was retiring in order to spend more time with his family, but he has changed his mind.
On Sunday, the 7-time Super Bowl champion announced his return on Twitter and Instagram, saying he and the Buccaneers have unfinished business.
“These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands.”
“That time will come. But it’s not now.”
“I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible.“
“I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa.“
In the first 20 seasons, the future Hall of Fame quarterback won his six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots. He left the team in 2020, in which he won his seventh Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
He also holds the all-time records for passing yards (84,520), touchdowns (624), 7,263 completions, and 11,317 attempts in the NFL.
Brady will turn 45 in August, but he still seems to be in top form. In 2021, he led the NFL in yards passing (5,316), touchdowns (43), completions (485), and attempts (719).
