Manchester United have reportedly received a bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka this week, with a move to Saudi Arabia looking likely for the right-back.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka joined the Red Devils in 2019 for a £45 million fee, following a fantastic year with Crystal Palace that saw him win the club’s player of the year award.

Now 26 years old, he has struggled to fulfil the potential he once showed at Selhurst Park, and has struggled to nail down a spot at full-back when up against Diego Dalot for a starting spot.

With his contract with Manchester United coming to an end soon, the English and Congolese defender could leave Old Trafford before the end of the current transfer window.

Al-Nassr Have Made a Bid for Wan-Bissaka This Month

Wan-Bissaka has been subject to a bid from Saudi club Al-Nassr this week, with the defender rumoured to be leaving Old Trafford this week.

Al-Nassr are famous for their audacious signing of Cristiano Ronaldo last season, and the Portuguese legend may be reunited with his former United teammate if Wan-Bissaka makes the move to the Middle East this month.

The team also signed Premier League stars like Aymeric Laporte and Sadio Mane in the summer, so the addition of a top-level right-back could be a huge signing for the club.

However, the transfer would mean that they would need to deregister one of their foreign-born stars, with Laporte rumoured to be disillusioned with the project in Saudi.

The Red Devils Should Consider Selling This Month

Selling one of their two right-backs may seem like a silly thing for United to do, but it may be the only chance they get to cash in on the former Palace defender.

Wan-Bissaka has been inconsistent in his Old Trafford career so far, failing to show the potential that United paid £45 million for five years ago.

While he is one of the best tacklers in the league, his attacking output has been underwhelming to say the least. With the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kyle Walker being huge attacking threats for Liverpool and Manchester City, respectively, a top team cannot afford to have their full-back not contributing to the team’s attack.

This could be the last time the club get to cash in on the defender, with rumblings from Saudi Arabia indicating that some players may be disillusioned with the project being built.

Jordan Henderson and Renan Lodi have already exited the league after just six months, so United will want to take as much Saudi cash as soon as possible, before the whole project crumbles in front of the world.
