David Warner would score 65 for Australia as they won their second match of the Super 12s stage in Thursday’s ICC T20 World Cup action.

Australia won the toss and elected to field first.

Pathum Nissanka would be caught by David Warner off the bowling of Pat Cummins for 7 before Charith Asalanka would be caught by Steve Smith off the bowling of Adam Zampa for 35 off 27 balls. Kusal Perera (pictured below) would be bowled by Mitchell Starc for the same score off 25 balls before Aviskha Fernando would be caught by Smith off the bowling of Zampa for 4.

Wanindu Hasaranga would be caught behind by Matthew Wade off the bowling of Starc for 4 before Dasun Shanaka would be the final man out, caught by the same fielder off the bowling of Cummins, for 12 – Bhanuka Rajapaksa (33) and Chamika Karunaratne (9) the not out batsmen.

Aaron Finch would be bowled by Hasaranga for 37 off 23 balls before Glenn Maxwell would be caught by Fernando off the same bowler for 5. David Warner (pictured below) would be the final wicket to fall, caught by Rajapaksa off the bowling of Shanaka for 65 off 42 balls with Smith and Marcus Stoinis finishing on 28 and 16 not out respectively as the Aussies won with 3 overs to spare
