The Toronto Blue Jays tied up the World Series 2 games each after they beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6- 2 in Game 4 at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers had previously led the series 2 – 1 after winning games 1 and 3. The series stays in LA for an all-important Game 5 in the best-of-7 series.

The game started well for the Dodgers as a sacrifice hit by Enrique Hernandez ensured a Max Muncy score.

However, at the top of the third with Nathan Lukes sitting on first, the Blue Jays’ star man Vladimir Guerrero Jr. stepped up and delivered a home run to left centre field to put Toronto 2 – 1 up.

Then at the top of the seventh, Toronto put the game away with scores from Daulton Varsho, Ernie Clement, Andres Gimenez, and finally Vladimir Guerrero Jr. again made it 6 – 1 Blue Jays.

The Dodgers did bring one run back in the 9th after a score from Teoscar Hernandez, but by then the game was practically over, and the Blue Jays had stunned the defending champs on their own turf.

The game made history for Toronto as Vladimir Guerrero JR became the franchise’s leading postseason home run scorer with seven. He will have to perform if the Blue Jays come out with another victory in the city of Angels.

Toronto are turning to rookie Trey Yesavage on the mound as he faces LA’s Blake Snell. Snell has already received criticism for his performance in game 1 of the series, as critics are saying he lacked command of his fastball and struggled to generate whiffs with his changeups.

The Blue Jays will be hoping for another performance like Snell’s in game 1 as they are the bookies’ underdogs going into tonight’s clash.

Either way, the series will switch back to Canada for the Blue Jays, which could be a deciding Game 6. Toronto will be hoping it’s them with a chance to close it out as they look for their first World Series championship since 1993.

Tonight’s match-up between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers is available on TNT Sports via subscription and will kick off at midnight.
