His potential was quickly recognized, leading to a full-season drive with Force India (later Racing Point) in 2017. Ocon showcased his skills, earning consistent points finishes and proving to be a formidable competitor. His partnership with Sergio Perez was particularly noteworthy, although it was marred by occasional on-track clashes.
In 2019, Ocon faced a setback when he was left without a seat, serving instead as a reserve driver for Mercedes. This period, however, allowed him to refine his skills and stay connected with the sport’s top echelon. His return to a full-time racing seat came in 2020 with Renault, which later rebranded as Alpine.

This win not only showcased his driving prowess but also affirmed Alpine’s competitiveness. Throughout his stint with the team, Ocon has consistently demonstrated resilience and adaptability, contributing to Alpine’s midfield battles and occasional podium finishes. Finishing second at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix and third at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix. Showcasing his potential as a strong contender on the grid.
Why Ocon is Leaving Alpine?

But it became a factor as Car number 31 dived into Turn 8 and there was not much room for both Ocon and Gasly when arriving out of the corner and before entering the tunnel, the two collided.
The incident left Gasly frustrated and Alpine boss, Bruno Famin warned Ocon that “there will be consequences.” What the consequences were, remains unknown. But the initial rumour was that Esteban Ocon would face a race ban for the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend. Which has not been confirmed as Ocon will continue to race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
But now many rumours begin to circulate. Where does Esteban Ocon remain in Formula 1? What team with the French man sign for next? And will teams want to generate interest after the Alpine drivers’ actions after the first lap melee in Monaco?
